  3. Install the software
    Once you have the demo file downloaded, double-click on the "Stockeeper_342.exe" file to start the installation program. Just follow the step-by-step instructions on your screen to install the software. Enjoy!

Please Read Before Downloading:

  1. The demo/freeware file is 40 Mb in size. This may take quite a while to download if you are on a dial-up modem.
  2. The demo you download contains all of the various versions in one program (Goats, Dairy/Cattle, Sheep) as well as all languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Afrikaans, etc) and editions (Pro, Multi-Species, Consultant). The first time you run StocKeeper, it will ask you which type of species you would like to manage, and you can switch between languages at any time.
  3. If you are using America Online (AOL) or an ISP that sometimes drops your connection, be sure to check the actual file size of the file you download to make sure it was downloaded completely. Certain ISPs, such as AOL, may drop the connection and not tell you that your file was not completely downloaded.
  4. The demo will expire after 60 days. After 60 days, it will revert to the Freeware Edition, which you can use for free. If, after 60 days, you would like to extend the demo period, just contact Herd-Pro Software for an extension code.
  5. Important note for current StocKeeper 2000 owners/users: The demo for StocKeeper 2003 requires that you first uninstall StocKeeper 2000. We recommend that you do not install the demo unless you are considering purchasing an upgrade. If you are, you will want to do a full backup of your StocKeeper 2000 database. Then, right down your serial number and registration number as you will need those if you decide not to purchase StocKeeper 2003 and re-install StocKeeper 2000.
