StocKeeper 2003:
Screen Shots

StocKeeper isn't just a pretty face, but a pretty face never hurt anyone, either. One of the primary goals Herd-Pro Software had when developing StocKeeper was to make an interface that is easy to use. These screen shots will help give you an idea how our software works. Note that many of the screens on this page are at 50% and you may click on any of them to see the full-size screen in a new window.

The At-A-Glance Herd List

The main interface feature of StocKeeper is the At-A-Glance Herd List. If you've ever used Windows Explorer, Outlook, or any other Windows software that uses a tree structure, you will find this interface very familiar. It allows you to view your entire heard on screen at once. You can group your herd into as many groups and subgroups as you like (up to 99 different groups). In addition, you can also assign your animals to locations and sublocations. The combination of these two custom ways to group your herd allows you arrange your animals in any numbver of useful groupings for easy comparisons and management. In addition to the two grouped tree views, you can also view your herd as a list. You can further customize your Herd List by implementing filters to show/hide animals based on certain criteria. You can also switch between the 8 available animal IDs (including name, ID tag, registration number and several more.)

Individual Animal Data Tabs

When an animal is selected from the Herd List, the data tabs across the right side of the screen appear and show data for this specific animal. The screens are shown below:

Current Status Tab

Current Status shows general information such as birth date, color, species, animal name and identification, etc.

Pedigree Tab

An unlimited pedigree history can be tracked for each animal. The pedigree tab shows the immediate 3 generations (plus siblings and offspring) for the animal. (The printable Pedigree Report shows 5 generations at one time.)

Interval Stats

The interval stats tab shows time based statics such as Days Since Last Birth, Days To First Heat, Last Vaccination, Current Days Open, Etc.

Events

The events tab is where you you will enter most of the data on each animal. Events include Herd Check, Medical, Heat, Bred, Calving, Dry Off, Cull and a Change of Status. You can also view (and edit) the lifetime event history on each animal.

Milk Data

The Milk Data Tab shows lifetime milk production statistics organized by lactation. If you are manually entering milk data, you can also do it from this screen.

Lactation Curves

The lactation Curves tab allows you to plot a variety of milk/production stats. You can adjust the visual presentation of the graph as well as the specific data you are plotting. You can also choose the particular lactation you would like to see graphed. If you have more than one animal selected (such as a group) you can plot multiple animals on one graph.
